5.4. PoE Considerations
Power over Ethernet (PoE) allows an Ethernet switch to provide both data and electrical power to a network
device through a single cable. The KE8952 / KE9952 / KE6912 / KE6922 models feature PoE functionality, so the
transmitter and receiver units can receive power and communication over a single cable.
To avoid overall consumption exceeding the network switch’s power capacity, it is recommended that a switch
with enough capacity for 15.4W of power to every port is used.
