Since 2013, ATEN launched several single LAN cable solutions for both audio-video and IT setups. The cornerstone of HDBaseT technology is 5Play™ which converges uncompressed Full HD / 4K video, audio, 100Mbps Ethernet connectivity, PoH, and control signals through a single Cat 5e/6A cable.

HDBaseT Glossary

A HDBaseT feature that delivers AV, Ethernet, control signals, and power over a single 100m Cat 5e/6A cable.	A twisted pair cable for carrying signals. We strongly advise to use ATEN's low skew Cat Cable: 2L-2901	Power over HDBaseT. The delivery of power from a source to a receiver device over a single Cat 5e/6A cable.	Infrared. An invisible radiant energy used for many applications, like remote controls and line-of-sight wireless data.	A serial interface for asynchronous data communication over distances up to 100m with HDBaseT Technology.
